释义	爱美的戏剧 ài měi de xì jù簡稱“愛美劇”。中國五四運動後興起的非職業演劇。“愛美的”系英語amateur的音譯，意爲業餘的、非職業的。1921年，汪優遊、陳大悲等人針對文明戲商業化弊病，提倡非營業性演劇，主張嚴格遵守劇本和排演制度，使用立體佈景等。愛美的戲劇運動首先在北京、上海高等學校興起，引起社會熱烈反響。愛美劇是文明戲向現代話劇過渡的產物，後因其業餘性影響藝術質量的提高而衰落。
