释义	傜役 yáo yì亦作傜伇。古代官方规定的平民主要是农民成年男子在一定时期内或特殊情况下所承担的一定数量的无偿社会劳动。一般有力役、军役和杂役。历代以来，名目繁多，办法苛严。旧时国家规定男子有服劳役的义务，包括修筑城池、造桥铺路、防卫乡里、戍守边疆等。继以昏乱，政由群孽，赋调云起，傜役无度。《南史．卷七○．循吏传．序》是时，天下安平，人无傜役，岁比登稔，百姓殷富，粟斛三十，牛羊被野。《资治通鉴．卷四五．汉纪三十七．明帝永平十二年》也作「徭役」。
