释义	五妃廟 wǔ fēi miào位于台南市中区五妃街一号的古迹。明永历三十七年清康熙二十二年郑成功手下主将刘国轩在澎湖为清兵所败，弃守降清。消息传来，明宁靖王朱术桂决定殉国，以保全志节，妻妾袁氏、王氏、郑秀姑、张梅姐、洪荷姐自缢而死，宁靖王将其亲葬于魁斗山桂子山后，次日亦自缢，与妻妾合葬一起。清乾隆十一年西元一七四六年台湾海防同知方邦基在他们墓前建庙，就称为「五妃庙」，借以供奉宁靖王与五妃的神位。庙后有冢，附近有一座公园，朱墙绿荫，古意盎然。现属一级古迹。
